Oncollabore Provincial develops harmonized prescriptions for adult oncology therapies province wide for Quebec.<\/p>\n The primary mandate is the development and updating of harmonized provincial pharmaceutical prescriptions for emerging therapies in adult oncology, including fully orally administered treatments. The project also includes the creation and periodic review of prescriptions for traditionally available therapies, as well as the creation and updating of various pharmaceutical tools, such as drug information sheets for emerging therapies and clinical guides. The prescriptions take local specificities into account, for example, which antiemetics are commonly listed on formularies, while being designed for rapid and standardized use across the province. They can be requested online, with priority level assigned based on the stated urgency (e.g., prescription creation requested within 48 hours or less). The prescriptions, with the exception of those for outpatient oral anticancer therapies, are also available in English.<\/p>\n A rigorous internal validation process, followed by approval from the GEOQ and CEPO, ensures safety and alignment with clinical practices. In addition, collaboration has been established with the team from the Quebec Digital Health Record (DSN) Center of Expertise. These efforts aim to ensure interdisciplinary consistency in harmonizing oncology practices and aligning pharmaceutical tools with the future provincial digital health solution.<\/p>\n A SharePoint platform allows healthcare professionals within the provincial network to access the pharmaceutical prescriptions.
